I’m over here making French petit fours topped with primrose and violas for eid, which are def not the Egyptian petit four, though they do have some similarities. Christmas is tomorrow, and it’s celebrated on January 7 by many in the Orthodox tradition. The reason for this is because days were removed to make up for the difference with the Julian calendar when England switched to the Gregorian calendar in 1752. Our people did not accept the change and continue to use the Julian calendar...
